GungaDin of the Week Interviews

(A) September 2005 was my first time that I helped out with the stationary water. (Editor's note: Another rookie! What's with the "stationary" water? As long as it is potable it is OK!)

(A) Guilt. How could I not help when I depend on the water/drink so often. I also didn't want Moshe to have a kinipshun or a hernia. (Editor's note: Very considerate of Hank. We appreciate that!)

(A) I’ll go for any color drink that glows or leads the way on dark mornings.

(A) Double the pay of the GungaDin's. (Editor's note: Great suggestion! We will put the pay increase as a new item in next year's budget)

(A) My motto; "Left on red after honk." See me - I'll explain.

(A) for 6-8 years, mostly in an "unofficial" capacity (for trail runs, and as a back-up).

(A) My wife told me to.

(A) orange or yellow

(A) This is one of my first official water support assignments in a long time (subbing for Tim Cohn, so he can get some beauty rest) ... I am very impressed with the organization - although I am confused by the spelling of "thrash bags" in the GungaDin directions. (Editor's note - Thanks for noticing, our GungaDins coordinator has not yet mastered the English language.)

(A) A short poem: "Thrash Bags" Never use trash bags to hit people - or place them over your head - Even during a long run, when - perhaps you'd rather be dead -

(A) Since last year

(A) Serving makes me better than being served.

(A) How about cold beer?

(A) Put a marker attaching the cooler for runners to write their names on the cup for return use of the cup. (Editor's note: This is the first practical suggestion that we have received in years! There must be something wrong with it)

(A) Be thankful that we can run in beautiful trails of Reston.

(A) officially or unofficially??????

(A) weight lifting (and just because i like my friends at reston runners....)

(A) anything except ORANGE..... and prefer less sweetener and no DYES!

(A) clone Moshe!

(A) not profound at the moment...

(A) Since 1998 when I joined the club, or maybe it was 1999 before I began to feel guilty about drinking...and not carrying...anyway, my afinity for drinking has brought me a lot of guilt and pain...I had to do penance.

(A) Well, for the money, of course. (What? Some of you don't get paid by Moshe?) Also, I like cold drinks in the summertime, and the only way I can be sure that we'll have a large block of ice in the Gatorade is to place it there the night before myself.

(A) There is flavor other than Lemon-Lime? In fact, since returning to the club this spring, I've noticed some unusual flavors appearing on Sundays. We never used to have anything but Lemon-Lime.

(A) Well, we could use some female GungaDins in this business. I notice that most of the current crop are not very attractive, even if they are very fit. Not sure what Kipling would say, however.

(A) Because I never know which profound thought will be my last one, perhaps I'd better not. Also, it's never a good idea to answer that question, "A penny for your thoughts?" because it tends to imply you agree with the valuation.

(A) This was my very first time.

(A) I get such pleasure from fixing sport drink cocktails for my fellow runners and walkers.

(A) Gatorade. Strawberry with a touch of lemon-lime.

(A) A water truck that can dispense multiple sport drink flavors and sparkling water.

(A) It is an honor to continue the great GundaDin tradition.

(A) Last week was only the first time.(Editor's note: We have a real rookie!)

(A) Payback is hell ;-) I don't like the cuticle flavored drink so much, so I use old shop tools to mix it up. I think the gasoline and oil tinge provides a great aftertaste. (Editor's note: But he is saavy...)

(A) My personal favorite is an extra large Reeses Peanut Buter Cup Blizzard from Dairy Queen. The perfect sports drink in any weather. (Editor's note: And he has good taste...)

(A) Get my favorite sports drink of course. (Editor's note: And he is smart...)

(A) Eat dessert first. You may not make it through dinner. (Editor's note: And his priorities are set right. He will make a perfect GungaDin!)

(A) This is my first month.

(A) It beats lifting weights. Gets the strength workout same time as the run.

(A) Margarita flavor? Actually, just the smell of that lemon-lime stuff we use gets me ready to run.

(A) No. We do a pretty good job as it is.

(A) Remember, your body is 75% water. What is the other 25%?

(A) 2 weeks

(A) i have a few years to go before i have any last thoughts
